While browsing the Xyloband homepage I finally came across an picture of how the original hand held controllers (HTX) look in their entirety, showing which functions (at least) can be controlled: I can see the following buttons: - Test
- On/Off
- Stop
- Sleep
- Wake
- Beat
- All on
- Glow
- Beat 1
- Double beat 1
- Strobe
- Beat 2
- Double beat 2
- Cycle/Twinkle 1
- Beat 3
- Random 1
- Cycle/Twinkle 2
- Random 2
- Random 3
- Cycle/Twinkle 3
- Mix
- (Red)
- (Green)
- (Blue)
- (Pink)
- (Yellow)
- (Purple)
- (White)
- (Orange)
There's also a mention of a "Coldplay experience at home" with a MTX Mini Controller:
Now (one of) the question is: Does each button correspond to one packet being sent or is the remote more intelligent and creates some effects by itself, sending multiple commands... Kind regards, Stefan

I have seen that Xylobands now finally has released this controller as a kit together with 5 c-Model Xylobands for 65 $. Who wants to buy one for analysis and post the results in the forum? Kind regards, Stefan

Excellent, I'll send an email to them. If it's really $65, I'll definitely buy one

I received a response to my email, along with answers to a couple of followup questions. Some good hints for us from these messages! The first response also included a PDF (attached below) MTX.pdf (356.2 KB) I then sent a followup email with a couple of questions, hoping to get some clues about how the different sets of wristbands (for different venues or concert dates) are identified: Which received the following response: I'll be ordering one in the next few days. If someone else also gets one, we may be able to compare packets to identify how the "different site" is specified in the protocol!

Kind regards, Stefan What’s the difference between the htx controller and mtx. Do one of them run off RF or do they both only do infrared commands?
